Hi there, I am Sofia
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Barcelona, Spain.
Some years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually evolved into a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more convoluted than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
The Adjustment Phase
There was cultural adjustment, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, habits took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Sozu Suji Nafez
Why I Created Sozu Suji Nafez
Much of the online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that void — practical advice derived from real life in Spain.
What This Website Covers (And What It Does Not)
This site is about:
- Hands-on insights from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site is not:
- Not a tourism-authority resource
- Not a paid review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Spain continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I will keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Barcelona or anywhere in Spain, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sofia
